- Post-Positivism believes knowledge and understanding can and must be explained through the Post-Positivism methods such as history, facts, values, morals, philosophy (Interpretative/Subjective) to study International Relations
- contradicts:: Positivism claims that knowledge can only be obtained through scientific means

- Human Nature cannot be cut from human relations studies
- Subjects: law, philosophy, history, morality
- Focus on Understanding using assumptions
- Theory does apply to theorists
