Country Report: Purpose is for yourself as a delegate to understand the relations between the countries, common stance and context of the situation.

Chair §

• Open the speech, raise concern, and conclude the ceremony
  • Opening Speech
    • Greetings, “Good Ambassadors/Delegates”
    • separate paragraphs with phrases “Ladies and gentlemen”
    • Wish good stay…
    • Welcome everyone to the ASEAN meeting
• Manage time for the delegate speeches
• Break deadlock:
  • Identity reasoning for disagreements
  • Motion for informal debate
• Seek consensus (with methods) by the end of the meeting
  • Suggest compromise solution

The most inactive or not involved state will be motioned to set the speaker’s time.

Position Papers include proposed solution ⇒ Countries form common solutions ⇒ to debate between blocs for what will be in the declaration and what won’t be

• Bring facts and why your country is involved in the problem
• Bring up your actions you have done to deal with the situation in your own country.
• Propose vague solution to be able to be debated later on.
• Defend yourself on the most expected criticism on your actions or stance on the issue
